Agents that work while you sleep

FastClaw agents schedule their own jobs — one-off reminders, intervals or cron expressions — and deliver results to the chat that asked.

01

Scheduled by asking

“Remind me every day at 9” or “ping me in 5 minutes” — the agent creates the job itself with its create_cron_job tool.

02

Three kinds of schedule

An exact time like 14:30, an interval like 1h, or a full cron expression such as */5 * * * *.

03

Replies where you asked

A job remembers its channel and chat, so the result lands in the same Telegram, Slack or web chat that requested it.

04

Manage from the console

Each agent’s Scheduler tab lists its jobs; pause, resume or delete them without talking to the agent.

05

Safe across replicas

Due jobs are locked before they run, so a multi-pod deploy fires each job exactly once. Jobs that fail three times in a row remove themselves.

06

Heartbeat memory

A periodic heartbeat reviews recent history and appends new key facts to MEMORY.md, keeping long-term memory fresh.

Just ask

Tell an agent "remind me to check the deploy every morning at 9" and it calls create_cron_job with the right schedule. It can also list_cron_jobs and delete_cron_job, so "what reminders do I have?" and "cancel that" work as you'd expect. Jobs fire as a message to the agent, which then does whatever the job asks — summarize news, check a site, run a skill.

Delivered to the right place

Each job stores the channel and chat it came from. A reminder set on Telegram comes back on Telegram; one set in a Slack channel posts there. Turns are attributed to the person who created the job, so their memory and permissions apply.

Reliable at scale

The scheduler reads due jobs from the database on every tick and locks each one before running it, so running several replicas never double-fires a job. Time columns are timezone-aware, so a "09:00" job fires at 09:00 wherever the server runs. It's a small piece of infrastructure that makes FastClaw a good fit for personal assistants and team rituals like daily standup summaries.
