Build a WhatsApp AI agent with FastClaw
Link a WhatsApp number to a FastClaw agent by scanning a QR code, just like WhatsApp Web — the agent replies from that number.
Linked-device setup
Scan from WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device. No Business API account needed.
Paired on connect
Linking the number pairs the channel with you at the same time.
Keys stay local
Device keys and sessions live in their own file, $FASTCLAW_HOME/whatsapp.db.
What you can do
- Offer an AI assistant on the messenger your clients already use — see FastClaw for agencies.
- Serve the same agent on LINE or Telegram.
Set it up
- Open the agent in FastClaw and go to Channels → WhatsApp.
- On your phone, open WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device and scan the code.
- Message the linked number from another account to test.
Notes
WhatsApp is one of FastClaw's IM channels. Use a dedicated number: this is an unofficial protocol.
